About tinting
Eyelash tinting and eyebrow tinting is the process of dying your eyelashes or eyebrows hairs to black, brown or blue/black. We can leave the eyebrow tint or eyelash tint on for longer for a more dramatic look or shorter length of time if you want something more subtle, it’s entirely down to what look you want to achieve.
The eyes and surrounding skin are protected by Vaseline coated cotton wool and Vaseline the tint is then applied to the lashes and/or brows and allowed to develop. The cotton wool is then removed and clean cotton wool used to soak up any excess tint
For the first appointment when tinting the eyebrows we can leave the tint on for 30 seconds and repeat until we get the perfect look. Tinting is perfect if you are a busy person and no time for applying mascara every day. Results can last up to 6-8 weeks. I highly recommend having this before going on a holiday where you will be in the water every day.
3D Defined eyebrows
By combining threading and eyebrow tint we can create defined brows look which all the celebrities have at the moment. I personally prefer threading over waxing on the eyebrows as it’s a lot gentler on your skin and your eyes are often the first place to show ageing. This look can be done as subtle or dramatic as you like. I show you in the beauty salon how to apply make-up at home to create this highly defined brows look.
Aftercare for eyebrow tinting and eyelash tinting
- Avoid strong sunlight as it can cause it to fade
- Don’t rub or touch your eyes after treatment
- To do regularly every 6 weeks
- Avoid contact with water 24 hours after treatment
Patch Test
A patch test for eyelash and/or eyebrow tinting must be done 48 hours before treatment.
